This is probably a silly question, but why are the lengths of the sides, back and front different? Not a silly question at all ) The curves on our body are the reason for the difference. I am curvier in my hip area, so to create an even hemline I need to add length to the side seam. My tummy area is the flattest, so I need the least length there. In my Straight Skirt Draft-Along I wrote a post about length measurement where you can find more info on the subject. Hope it helps)

Hi, I'm really confused as to what actual pieces we're creating. The fold-lines don't make sense to me. Can you show me what the actual individual pattern pieces for the back are? And could you please also mark in the fold lines on those pattern pieces?
Doesn't need to be fancy, just a quick line-drawing in pencil will be enough!
regards.

I have a question about the pleat depth instructions on step 5. I've been working in imperial units and my seam allowance is going to be 1/2" inch. You state to subtract the seam allowance from our previous one third of the back measurement that we used to mark the outside foldline. We then use that measurement for the inside foldline. Can I assume this still holds even though I've changed the size of the seam allowance?
Sorry for asking what is probably a simple question, this the most complex thing I've ever attempted to draft and I have limited supplies if I mess up too badly.
