Not sure everyone is aware, but here is one of the recent couture classes. Susan Khalje's first video class on how to make a lace yoke cocktail dress using couture techniques. I watched the entire video and the content is really good, quality is close to Craftsy except for the lack of an interactive class discussion. The price for the class is relatively high, but considering the fact that the content is exclusive, I think it is definitely worth it. Susan's in-person classes, or any other couture classes, where you can finish a dress, cost ten times the price. The lack of interactive module may be disappointing, on the other hand, teaching is very thorough with no steps omitted. I feel like it is a good investment. What are your thoughts?

I haven't tried the course yet (honestly because of the high cost and a similar on on Craftsy, which I LOVE) but I'm glad the expiry date was extended to three years from one. However, I think that it should be a lifetime access for that price.

I also don't see the point of introducing an expiry date. Three years is much better, but sometimes I refer to things I made or learnt four or five years ago... There is some overlap with Craftsy content, especially in the first three lessons, but after that, Susan's class teaches how to work with lace. I must also disclose that I got free access to the class. However, if this was not the case, I would still consider buying the class.

I purchased the video class as well, and am thankful for the longer expiry date. Perhaps as more video classes are added this will eventually evolve into a lifetime access. I was fortunate to have been able to attend Susan's Sit-and-Sew with Kenneth King last fall. That was one of the best sewing investments I ever made. So I agree, for someone of Susan's talent and expertise, the cost of the video is a good value.
